When I make a clove pomander, how can I avoid the clove heads breaking? Thank you.

Hi, there: That is a great question! What I do is make a small pilot hole in my orange with a small skewer/pick, then push the clove into the hole. I hope that helps. That said, I have found that even if the clove head breaks off, the stem of the clove is still very fragrant.
